How to Donate Historical Items to the Museum

Have an artifact, photograph, document, or other piece of local history you'd like to share? We’re always interested in learning about items that help tell the story of Ottawa County and its people.

If you have something from or related to Ottawa County that you believe may be a good fit for the museum, please fill out and return the official acquisition form. This helps us begin the review process and ensures we can preserve and care for each item properly.

While we would love to accept and display every piece of local history, our storage and exhibit space is limited. After reviewing your submission a museum representative will follow up to determine whether we’re able to accept the item into the collection.

Please note that we do not provide appraisal values for donated items.

Thank you for thinking of the Ottawa County Museum—we appreciate your help in preserving our shared history.
